The Upper Peninsula.

On The Road Photography Explores Tahquamenon Falls

On the Road Photography's head photographer embarked on a captivating journey to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in early October 2023. The first-time visit to the U.P. led to remarkable encounters with enchanting destinations such as Tahquamenon Falls, Munising, Pictured Rocks, and Houghton. During this expedition, the autumn landscape was adorned with a vibrant palette of near-peak Fall Colors, setting the perfect scene for unforgettable photography. Tahquamenon Falls, a gem within the Upper Peninsula, mesmerized our photographer with its breathtaking beauty and towering cascades. The history of these falls traces back to the Ojibwa people, who named the falls "Tahquamenon," meaning "dark or deep water." As our photographer immersed himself in the awe-inspiring scenery, he was struck by the timeless allure and rich cultural heritage of this natural wonder, adding a profound depth to the photographic experience.
